Deadbird's Twilight Ritual lands on June 24th!

Twilight Ritual, the sophomore album from metallic riff kings Deadbird, lands on your grocer's shelves on June 24th, 2008 courtesy of At A Loss Recordings. Several songs from Twilight Ritual are previewed on the band's MySpace page, and lemme tell ya, these are some tasty lil' manhole covers ... heavy, hard, doom-paced brain-bashers that will fulfill your daily recommended minimum of iron and other heavy metals....

Deadbird was formed by brothers Chuck and Phil Schaaf in 2002, Chuck leaving the band Rwake to play with his brother. The band released its debut disc, The Head and the Heart, in 2003 and has since toured, changed line-ups, and worked on the new album. New bassist Reid Raley also came over from Rwake to help fatten the Deadbird sound, and now the band pursues an excellent mix of monster riffs, soaring six-string work, deliberate bass-heavy rhythms, and a hardcore edge. Twilight Ritual is a much-anticipated release from this young metal band, and Deadbird will be hitting the road this summer to support the album. Stay tuned!
