Sothis' De Oppresso Liber album on September 2nd!

Our friends at Candlelight Records USA have announced a September 2, 2008 release date for the new album De Oppresso Liber by Los Angeles death metal stalwards Sothis.

Sothis has been a fixture of the L.A. metal scene for several years now, releasing an independent four-song EP in 2004. The mini-album caught the ears of several critics, with Brave Words, Bloody Knuckles calling it "fierce in every aspect, Sothis instantly captures their listeners' hearts and and souls... behold the next big black metal band."

Sothis founding member , drummer Dross says of the new album, "if you are into aggressive, polished black metal that is well executed then you’re going to love De Oppresso Liber. We’ve been able to capture some incredible performances and couple them with some very talented engineers. We wanted to make a record that we would be genuinely proud of and we’ve accomplished that."
