Invasion's "Moongazer" video
Hey hey me droogs, check out 'dis uber-cool vid for the tune "Moongazer," sent to us courtesy of British band Invasion. The song is sorta doomy, and kinda spacey, with dashes o' metallic grunge, lysergic psychedelia and plodding Sabbathian death-riffage. Throw in some U.S. taxpayer-funded background imagery of the Milky Way taken by the Hubble telescope, and a lead singer who can flat-out wail, and you have one seriously rockin' good time. "Moongazer" is from Invasion's debut EP of the same name, out now on the Run For Your Lives label.
Check out this fab new video from Farflung for their song "Endless Drifting Wreck." Taken from the band's new album A Wound In Eternity, available now from Meteor City Records, the vid reminds me, visually, of art-rock terrorists the Residents. The accompanying music is pure Hawkwind-inspired space-metal drone, however, with stinging fretwork, strong rhythms, drifting vocals and an altogether otherworldly vibe.

Darsombra's breathtaking new CD, Eternal Jewel, is available NOW on a grocer's shelf near you! The Reverend hears that this is a spanking masterpiece of droning guitars and haunting electronic soundscapes. Don't believe me? Lords of Metal sez "what makes this stand out is that it never gets dull or too vague like with many other dronesque colleagues. The melodies and interesting song structures prevail above all. Eternal Jewel is part narrating soundtrack, part psychedelic trip device."
Still not convinced? Then just check out this live video of Darsombra fret-burner Brian Daniloski bending the strings onstage in Baltimore. Then click on the CD cover above and buy a copy of Eternal Jewel for yourself....
